Your body is made up of about 60% water and can’t survive without it. Many people are dehydrated each day and may not even know it. Here are some ways and reasons to stay hydrated.
Ways and Reasons to Stay Hydrated
Not everyone knows how much they need to drink. While 8 8 ounce glasses of water a day is the general recommendation, your weight largely determines how much water you need.
If you don’t get enough water each day you can feel fatigued, sluggish, and experience brain fog. Additionally, your organs like the kidneys and liver don’t function as well.
Getting enough water keeps your digestive tract moving smoothly too. Your skin will also retain moisture and wrinkle less easily if you’re getting enough water.
Exercising without drinking enough water can be especially dangerous. Be sure to not just drink during and after exercise, but before too to prepare for sweating.
